My TPT Income Report for Quarter 2 in 2023 (I HIT MY BEST MONTH EVER!)

Q2 has finished! Seriously, where did the time go? I swear I was packing and crying on the plane while thinking of Nugget in the cargo. Fast forward to today, and I'm back in the Philippines while Nugget sleeps on the floor. And oh, my boyfriend has returned to Brazil after staying here for almost two months. So many great things have happened! We traveled to the beach and other parts of the Philippines, but I know you're not here for that. So, let's proceed to the income report, shall we?

In this blog post, I will share my earnings from April to June, lessons learned, and my goals for the rest of the year. But a little disclaimer, if you don't like talking about money, feel free to click out.

APRIL

Have you noticed something different in the graph below? My sales had an uptick on April 25.

Wanna know why? Because TPT removed the personalized search on April 24! Here's Amy announcing in the TPT forums that the personalized search is completely turned off:

That means we're back to the normal TPT algorithm! Until now (I'm writing this in July), there's no update about the search, so A to the MEN, I hope they don't bring it back anymore!

Anyway, ever since TPT turned off the personalized search, my sales have skyrocketed! The cha-chings have increased after April 25, and wait until you see my May earnings!

MAY

After selling on TPT for more than 2 years, I have finally reached my HIGHEST month ever! I was shook! I sold bundles and tons of $5! I couldn't believe my eyes. I even wondered how that happened, but I am 99.9% sure it's because TPT removed the personalized search! It affected my sales so much I wanted to rip my hair off!

My highest sale day was on May 18 when I reached $169. Last May was when I reached my first four figures on TPT. And now it has doubled! I wonder what's in store for me for May 2024. I'm excited!

JUNE

Sales slowly died down in July. That's the summer effect, my friend. I wish TPT had turned off the personalized search in early 2023 (or even last year), but at least it's completely shut down now!

Lessons learned:

  1. I'm pretty sure you've heard this before but don't just rely on the TPT search. None of us own TPT except for Paul Mishkin, so own an email list and continue to market your products on Facebook, Pinterest, Youtube, Tiktok, or your email subscribers.
  2. Create the best cover. Then the thumbnails. Next is the preview. And then the description. Your cover is the first thing buyers will see, so make it perfect. Use bold fonts, print your worksheets, take photos of them, and create video previews. Show them why your product is better than others. I'm getting a new printer next month, so while I wait, I will use the mock-ups I bought from TPT and then replace them with actual photos of my products.
  3. If you're creating a digital product, add a printable version (only if applicable). That way, you can increase the price and add value to the product.

Some of my goals before the year ends are:

  • to continue batching my blog posts. I was away for most of June, and I didn't have to worry about it while I was traveling because as early as May, my June blog posts were already scheduled.
  • to continue creating pins and scheduling them on Tailwind. Tailwind has been a lifesaver because of its Ghostwriter. I dislike writing descriptions, and the Ghostwriter feature saves me time! I also use it to write blog posts, Facebook captions, emails, and product descriptions. Here is my referral link to try Tailwind.
  • to register my business. I'm still waiting for my registration to be transferred to my new revenue district office. After that, I can finally start the process of registering my business. Now that I'm back home, I have many things to accomplish, and this is one of them!

Before I end this blog post, here are some photos I took during our vacation. I can't wait to plan our next trip, but for now, I need to work. I still have lots of products to update and create!
